In a few short weeks, the foodservice packaging industry –raw material and machinery suppliers, converters, foodservice distributors and operators – will gather for FPI’s Fall Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. When will this be you ask? October 24-25 at the historic Seelbach Hilton.
We have a great program planned out for you. On the first day, we will focus on industry trends and consumer opinions regarding foodservice packaging. We will hear about consumer opinions on packaging from the web and from a live panel. If you attended our spring conference, you are in for a treat to get opinions from a completely different area of the country. If you did miss it, make sure you don’t this time around!
The second day will feature in-depth segments on environmental marketing claims. We will also provide a valuable government affairs update to inform members of legislative areas of concern to the industry, and finish with the annual member meeting. At this meeting, members will receive a financial update and hear how FPI is progressing with its key focus areas for 2019. All are welcome to attend, but FPI requests that at least one person per member company remains to participate in this session due to voting on important association issues.
Of course, everyone is always interested in the networking opportunities at our events. Thursday evening will feature our biennial packaging awards. (For more information on the competition and what it entails, click here.) We will announce the winners of our 2019 competition, and will feature a display of the packages that won.
On Friday morning, the networking continues with our breakout breakfasts. We have three separate breakfasts: one specifically for converters of egg packaging or food packaging trays, one for suppliers of raw materials or machinery, and the other for all other attendees.
Last, but certainly not least, this will be FPI’s last conference with Lynn Dyer as president! This is a great opportunity to thank her in person for all of her contributions to FPI and the industry as a whole.
